Getting married - need fashion advice?

hello to all,

am getting married on may 8th. we decided to go to city hall and get married. i know it might sound chessy for you all, but am not into the big wedding etc... it looks like it so much stress at trying to get that day together. i don't know what to wear! i want to look nice, but not over dressed. can someone give me some suggetions?Getting married - need fashion advice?
Buy a beautiful dress or suit in white, ivory or your favorite color [ not black ] with matching or coordinating shoes, etc. A lovely hairdo with flowers in your hair, perhaps? Make sure makeup and manicure is perfect. Inspect your guy's outfit so he looks great, too. If you dress special, you'll feel special.

Get your witness to take pictures! Your children/grandchildren will want to see them.Getting married - need fashion advice?
You should wear a white skirt suit set or a white sundress/cocktail dress.
If you'd like, wear a simple white/off white/pastel colored dress. Since it's summer, there's lots of lovely ones out there. Just hit the mall, I'm sure you'll find something that you'll love. If you don't wear dresses, find a nice pantsuit in a light color as well.

JCrew, Banana Republic, Gap, etc., all have great dresses. You can also find a huge selection at Macys.

Good luck, and congrats on your marriage.
Congrats! Maybe a beautiful tea-length dress - in your fav. colours or a print you love.
I like the dress on the website that julieeee showed. It would be perfect for a may wedding in the courthouse. Congrats!!
Base it off what he is wearing: Jeans and a t-shirt, go with jeans and a pretty top.

jeans and a dress shirt - pretty sundress

dress pants and a dress shirt - sundress still works, but add a couple accessories to dress it up

suit - wear a fancier dress or one with a longer length.

Don't go with something overly-trendy... your kids will always think you looked out of style, but if you wear something classic, then you won't look completely out!
What colors are flattering on you? Pick a dress that makes you feel happy when you're in it, I think thats the most important thing. You'll look great in it because you feel good. Personally I prefer lighter colors for weddings, depending on what style you like. The bohemian look ( flowing, soft tops and skirts) are nice and very feminine or if you're a pants kinda gal try yoga pants and a bohemian or romantic styled top with them.
Good luck with marriage %26gt;
You can wear whatever you please- even a wedding gown if you like. Wear what suits you.
I'd wear a pretty but short white dress - afterall it is your wedding! I like these for the courthouse:

I like the tea-length wedding dresses... they are dressy yet not over the top bridal.
You did not give an age.

Always classy %26amp; can be used in any informal wedding is a white or off white sheath. Depends on where you live - a matching jacket.

It is your wedding so anything from a nice church dress to a modest cocktail dress.

If desired carry a short veil or hat.

You could wear a long gown but you will definitely stand out.

I am more reserved since I am older.
I'd go for a smart, tailored suit, with a shift dress underneath a long line jacket, fitted at the waist. That would be simple and elegant. Good luck and I hope your big day goes well.
Well you could do something like a cute white sundress. They are highly fashionable right now so you can find them all over the place. It would be something where you could leave city hall after you are done and carry on about your business or you could go out to eat and people would believe you if you told them that it was your wedding day. Good luck and congrats!
Vera Wang shes butiful and every girl needs to look the best on her weding day! Come on what if someone looks better than you? You want to look ah-mazing girlfriend!
