well decent can be different for everyone. FIrstly i think it's good you don't try and meet guys in bars.
My advice would be to try and meet guys at places that you find interesting. This way the people you meet will share common interests and more chance of a relationship working for you.
Online dating is hard cause people build up an expectation of someone they have never meet before and when they finally do meet it can be disapointing.
