Advice for getting married abroad?

We're looking into getting married abroad, and we were wondering if people who had done this have any good advice they can give?





How many people to ask to come?


Is it worth the hassle/cost?


What to do about the people that dont get to come?


Does that count as a honeymoon?

I have not been married abroad, nor do I know of anyone who has. But the thing you need to check on is all the legalities of it.





What country are you thinking of going to? And what country are you a citizen of? Each country has their own rules regarding how weddings are conducted, and, to be honest, I think it's a bit of a hassle for ';ordinary folk'; to just go to that country to get married. You need to take care of legal paperwork in order to do that. Now, of course, here in the U.S. there are many movie stars that have done this, but they have a whole army of lawyers, assistants, secretaries, blah, blah, blah to take care of all the legal stuff for them.
